Hendre offers an ideal location for nearly wild camping. A peaceful and secluded space in our woodland, well away from the house, allows campers to experience real camping. With a rushing mountain stream to wash in, a camp fire for warmth and cooking, this is back-to-nature camping at its best but with just a little comfort. A fresh water tap at the house and a compost loo in the field are really the only facilities but, if the weather lets you down badly, a hot shower and a cooked meal can usually be made available for a small additional fee.
In the heart of West Wales there is a wealth of adventures to be had, either walking straight from Hendre or exploring further into the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park where any number of outdoor activities can be enjoyed.
With an abundance of wild life, dark skies at night for watching the stars and nothing but the sound of the stream to disturb the peace, Hendre offers everything you could want from a wild camping experience but with a little added security.
